About Me

I studied Illustration and Graphic Design at Ringling School of Art and Design, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Illustration. While there I worked for the Office for Institutional Advancement where I assisted with the school’s internal e-newsletter and website redesign along with basic clerical work.

During the summer between my sophomore and junior years, I was an intern at the Brookfield Zoo Design Department. I was able to create original designs to be used on their website as well as help with the creation of advertising and a new park map.

After graduation I was hired at Young Rembrandts as a children’s art teacher. I very much enjoyed my experience with Young Rembrandts, teaching children from 5 – 12 years of age how to draw and color.

I have been working in-house at a small manufacturing company for 18 years. As the Creative Director I am responsible for all advertising including catalogs, print ads, email ads, web ads and more. I shoot all of our product photography, maintain our website and create initial rough designs for new products.

Catalog Design

Produced from start to finish. I shoot and edit all product photography, design the layout, typeset all product information, and prepare the files for the printer.

Product Concepts

Rough, initial product designs. Every job has a starting point! I take ideas and created conceptual drawings to submit to engineers as well as work with them on changes, adaptations, and approvals.

Advertising

Print, web, and email. I have experience designing ads for magazines, sell sheets, web banners, email ads and more. All for various vendors within their specs and deadlines.

Websites

Web design and maintenance. I create initial designs for the look and feel of the website, provide product photos and information, and maintain and update the website after creation.
